Direct Marketing Policy
Asian Journal of Computer Science and Technology (AJCST) may use direct marketing to communicate legitimate journal information or invite manuscript submissions from researchers whose work is reasonably relevant to the journal’s Aims and Scope. The AJCST direct marketing policy requires communications to be appropriate, accurate, well targeted and non-intrusive, with marketing kept separate from editorial decision-making.
1. Scope of Direct Marketing
Direct marketing may include calls for papers, special-issue notices, journal updates, invitations to submit manuscripts and other communications directly related to AJCST publishing activities. Messages should identify the journal and publisher clearly and should be sent only for legitimate scholarly-publishing purposes.
2. Accuracy and Transparency
Marketing communications must accurately describe AJCST, its publisher, Aims and Scope, peer-review model, publication schedule, access model, fees, policies and current abstracting or indexing status. AJCST should not use misleading, exaggerated or unverifiable statements about the journal or its services.
3. No Guarantees or Improper Claims
AJCST does not use marketing messages to guarantee manuscript acceptance, favourable peer review, unusually rapid publication, citation performance, future indexing or any other result that depends on independent editorial assessment or external organisations. Authors should rely on the journal’s published Peer Review Process and Journal Insights for verified information.
4. Targeting and Frequency
Communications should be directed to researchers or professional audiences whose work is reasonably connected with the journal’s subject coverage. The frequency of invitations and promotional messages should be proportionate and should not become repetitive, intrusive, coercive or designed to pressure recipients into submitting manuscripts or purchasing services.
5. Editorial Independence
Marketing activity is independent of editorial assessment. Receiving, responding to, ignoring or opting out of a marketing message does not influence manuscript screening, reviewer selection, peer review, acceptance, rejection, correction or retraction. The journal’s financial and marketing arrangements are further described in the Revenue Sources Statement.
6. Use of Contact Information
Contact details used for journal communications should be handled for legitimate publishing purposes in accordance with the AJCST Privacy Policy. Personal contact information must not be sold as a commercial mailing list. Recipients may contact the publisher about inappropriate or unwanted communications.
7. Contact
Questions or complaints may be sent to the AJCST editorial office: Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI), 9/865, Maruthi Nagar, Rakkipalayam Post, Coimbatore - 641031, Tamil Nadu, India. Email: editorial@crijournals.org.
8. Opt-Out and Complaints
Recipients may ask AJCST to stop sending non-essential direct marketing communications. Opt-out requests and marketing complaints should be acted on within a reasonable operational period. Messages necessary for an active manuscript, review assignment, editorial role, payment, publication or other requested service are operational communications rather than marketing messages.
