Article Transfer Policy

Asian Journal of Computer Science and Technology (AJCST) may offer an optional manuscript transfer when editors consider another journal in the Centre for Research and Innovation (CRI) portfolio potentially more suitable. The AJCST article transfer policy requires explicit author consent, does not guarantee acceptance, and preserves the receiving journal’s independent editorial assessment and peer-review process.

Article transfer is voluntary. A manuscript and its associated records are transferred only after the author has explicitly agreed to the transfer. Declining an invitation to transfer does not disadvantage the author or affect any future submission to AJCST.

2. Materials That May Be Transferred

With author consent, the transfer package may include the manuscript, supplementary files, submission metadata and relevant editorial records. Reviewer reports may be included only where this is compatible with reviewer confidentiality, the terms under which the review was provided and any applicable consent requirements.

Personal and editorial information used during a transfer should be handled consistently with the AJCST Privacy Policy and the journal’s confidentiality obligations.

3. Independent Editorial Assessment

The receiving journal makes its own assessment of the transferred manuscript against its aims, scope, quality standards and editorial policies. Its editor may rely on existing reviews where appropriate, seek additional independent reviews, start a new review process, or decline the manuscript. The final decision remains with the receiving journal.

4. Reviewer Reports

Where reviewer reports are transferred, they are supplied for legitimate editorial consideration. The receiving editor determines whether those reports are sufficient and relevant or whether further independent peer review is needed. Reviewer confidentiality and conflicts of interest remain protected under the AJCST peer review process.

5. No Guarantee of Acceptance or Faster Publication

A transfer invitation is not an acceptance decision and does not guarantee external review, favourable peer review, rapid handling or publication. The receiving journal applies its own editorial criteria, ethical standards and scope requirements. AJCST does not use transfer offers to imply guaranteed publication.

6. Fees

AJCST does not charge a manuscript-transfer fee unless a fee is explicitly stated in advance. If the receiving journal charges an article processing charge or another author-facing fee, that information should be disclosed before the author accepts the transfer. Authors should review the applicable Article Processing Charges & Waivers page for current AJCST fees.

7. Editorial Independence and Conflicts of Interest

Transfer does not alter editorial standards, reviewer independence or conflict-of-interest requirements. Financial considerations, transfer invitations and portfolio relationships do not determine acceptance. An editor with a relevant conflict should not make the final decision. 8. Confidentiality

Transferred manuscripts, peer-review materials and editorial correspondence remain confidential and should be accessible only to people or service providers with a legitimate role in the receiving journal’s editorial handling. Unpublished material must not be used for personal advantage or disclosed outside authorised editorial processes.
